What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is about being in the present moment. We tend to live on ‘automatic pilot’ with either our automated thoughts from past experience or future fearful thoughts of what’s to come, that we miss living our lives right now; we miss this moment. Mindfulness is a practice of conditioning our mind to be in the present moment. And yes, it’s a practice because the mind never stops thinking and it never stops wondering but we can strengthen this present moment thinking with a dedicated practice.

Research on Mindfulness at work continues to grow with recognition and support from research medicinal institutes. The AMA cited a study done with 238 employees at Google who used a Mindfulness Meditation app for 8 weeks reported a 46% reduction in symptoms of depression and a 31% drop in anxiety symptoms. * If this can happen in 8 weeks with an app, imagine what an in-house training and ongoing program could do.
